Acupuncture is one of the oldest health care systems in the world. Written record of acupuncture dates back more than two thousand years ago.
Acupuncture can treat a wide range of conditions. It is particularly effective in relieving pain from musculoskeletal conditions. It is equally as effective in treating many other acute and chronic conditions such as: neurological conditions, eg. Headache, migraine and facial prolapse (bell’s palsy); respiratory conditions, eg. asthma and rhinitis; gastrointestinal conditions, eg. constipation, diarrhea, and gastritis; gynecological conditions, eg. Period pain, irregular periods, and infertility; psychological conditions, eg. insomnia, anxiety and depression, etc.
The World Health Organization (WHO) listed a wide variety of conditions or disorders that acupuncture therapy has been tested in controlled clinical trials. Click here to view PDF copy of WHO Review and Analysis of Reports on Controlled Clinic Acupuncture Trials
