Kracie Shiunko/ Purple Cloud Ointment 14g 日本紫雲膏 

Shiunko is a Kampo ointment that a celebrated physician of the late Edo era, Dr. Hanaoka Seishu, prescribed. Shikon whose active ingredients include shikonin and acetyl shikonin has detox, antibacterial, and antiinflammatory effects. It enhances granulation and facilitates healing of the affected area. It also makes skin smooth. It is an effective hypoallergenic ointment for burns and external wounds.  

Purple Cloud Ointment has been traditionally used to help treat cracked skin, burns, slow-healing wounds, bed sores, fever blisters, eczema, hemorrhoids, diaper rash, insect bites, dermatitis, psoriasis, granulation and itching of skin lesions.

This ointment is made in Japan and is often used when applying moxa.

Ingredients

100 g of this product includes the following prescription components:
Lithospermum Root - 10.74 g
Japanese Angelica root - 7.16 g
Sesame oil - 89.53 g
White bees wax - 26.86 g
Lard - 2.69 g
(The total weight of 136.98 g above produces 100 g of Shiunko.)

Precautions for use

●Things to be avoided
(The following is associated with worsening of current conditions and the risk of side effect increases.)
This product should not be used if any of the following applies:
(1) Have a history of developing allergic reactions to this product or any of the components contained in this product.
(2) Currently have severe oozing, sore, burn, or external wound.
(3) Currently have pus discharge from wounds.
(4) Affected area is large.
